Eighth Principle

This might be the most challenging of the Spiritual Principles and yet it is the simplest. This is the principle of Remembering Who You Really Are. We get so caught up in being in a body, being in “form” that we lose sight of who we really are. Underneath, inside, beyond this body is Spirit – a Being who will live always – a Being who will not die when this body dies. The body temporarily houses this Spirit – it is on loan to you for use as you travel the earth for this lifetime. Each human is a Limitless Being, the Spiritual being who simply lives temporarily in form.

The act of remembering that you are a Spiritual Being simply living a human life is the purpose of this Principle ---you are not Human Beings we are spiritual beings being human. When we forget who we really are, we get lost in the problems and struggles of our humanness. We limit what we think we are capable of being, of doing, of becoming. We limit the healing, transforming and creating that we are capable of doing. We have no idea what we can do.

As Maryanne Williamson said, “Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us. It’s in ALL of us. As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Death is not to be feared or withdrawn from because we, the Spirit that you are, cannot die. The body on loan dies, the Spirit goes on … and on … and on.

Each one of us is a part of Divine Consciousness always --- there is no separation. There is no need to fear ---fear is a result of forgetting, of thinking you are alone. It is as if we are all a part of the same tree --- Divine Consciousness is a tree and we are all its branches. As part of the Whole, how can we be alone or separate? We are all one and we are all connected to The One.

So celebrate your greatest … step into the shoes of greatness and walk tall.
